Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Baptist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric under minimal supervision, working within your competencies and following established standards and practices. You will complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or current eligibility for state board certification
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire
• AHA ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas
• AHA PALS certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course
• CNOR Board certification or eligibility (Surgery)
• CPAN Board certification or eligibility (Post Anesthesia)
• SGNA Board certification or eligibility (GI Lab)
