Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Baptist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric under minimal supervision, working within your competencies and following established standards and practices. You will complete all established competencies for the position during your introductory period.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or current eligibility for state board certification
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into a Surgical Services area
• AHA PALS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship or training course
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) board eligibility or certification
• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) board eligibility or certification
• SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) board eligibility or certification for GI Lab positions
