The opportunity

Job Description

Shriners Children's is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults undergoing surgical and procedural interventions. You will serve as a patient advocate throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of care while supporting safe, family-centered, evidence-based surgical practice.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to pediatric patients within the operating room
Perform assessments and interventions designed to keep patients safe during surgery
Assist the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient
Provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room

Required Qualifications

BSN degree required or in progress
Texas RN license
2 or more years of OR experience

Preferred Qualifications

CNOR certification
Scrub experience
Prior pediatric acute care experience
Prior plastic reconstructive surgery experience
Prior orthopedic and spine experience

Compensation
