Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room, Full Time, Day Shifts

Hialeah Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to deliver professional and technical nursing care to pediatric (ages 2 and older), adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work full-time day shifts in a 378-bed acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surgical nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide age and developmentally appropriate care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during surgical procedures
• Perform nursing techniques for patient comfort and well-being
• Ensure nursing care complies with hospital objectives and policies
• Take emergency call as assigned by the department head
• Work assigned shifts and may be asked to work beyond regular hours as assigned by the department head or nursing supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
• Current Florida RN License
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of perioperative experience
