The opportunity

Job Description

Join our operating room team as a Registered Nurse delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a full-time day shift position at our Germantown location. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care while prioritizing patient safety and optimal outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to determine appropriate interventions and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and self-care strategies
  • Develop, implement, and adjust personalized patient care plans based on ongoing clinical assessments
  • Administer medications safely, following best practices in medication management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
  • Direct and delegate all patient care activities on nursing units

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • 0-1 years of registered nursing experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of patient care and ability to conduct thorough assessments using the nursing process
  • Strong knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice for a Registered Nurse
  • Ability to process complex clinical information using critical thinking to develop, implement, and support individualized care plans
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks to team members
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology that enhances patient safety and care efficiency, such as bar code scanning and electronic health records

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience

Physical Requirements

  • Medium work exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs of force frequently
  • Ability to climb, push, stand, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, and stoop with good balance and coordination
  • Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision for assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer terminals, and extensive reading
  • Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact
  • Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials
  • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations
