Registered Nurse (RN)- Open Heart Team

We are seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for a full-time day shift position on our Open Heart Team. The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care delivery in the surgical area. The professional nurse assumes responsibility for that charge and is accountable for providing a safe environment for the delivery of care to all surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care delivery in the surgical area
• Provide a safe environment for the delivery of care to all surgical patients
• Guide practice using the nursing process, policy, procedure, and standards
• Maintain focused area of expertise for care and program interventions or knowledge within niche areas of care
• Advance professional and shared governance and collaborate inter- and intra-professionally
• Delegate to others to advance care and assume expanded role and increased responsibility
• May lead a small team and serve as a unit, service, or program nursing practice mentor
• Identify learning needs of others

Schedule

• Full-time, day shift position

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid RN licensure authorized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State
• Valid driver's license where required by assignment
• Experienced OR RN

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification
• Trauma certification
