Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Obstetrics department. This is a part-time position offering 24 scheduled hours per week on the day shift (7 am to 7:30 pm). You will deliver patient care and education through the nursing process, direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel, and maintain professional nursing standards and organizational policies. This is a collective bargaining unit position.
Clinical Setting
St. Vincent Medical Center is a regional tertiary care facility and Level I Adult Trauma Center serving a 150-mile radius of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The facility is designated as a STEMI Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, and partners with Nationwide Children's Hospital to provide pediatric services on campus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care and teaching through the nursing process
- Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel
- Maintain standards of professional nursing practice
- Follow established organizational policies and procedures
- Assist in the provision of care to patients of all age groups
- Perform other job-related duties as required by supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college or university
- Current Ohio RN licensure
- BLS certification
- Other certifications as required by department policy
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of the nursing process
- Good oral and written communication skills
