This Nurse Manager position leads nursing operations and patient care activities in the Operating Room. You will develop and implement care delivery models, manage nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams, and drive performance improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, administer, and manage all nursing and related patient care activities for assigned areas
- Collaborate with the nursing team to support organizational business initiatives and strategies
- Standardize systems and identify operational efficiencies
- Provide financial oversight for nursing programs and services
- Integrate performance improvement strategies and support strategic nursing business initiatives
- Develop processes and communication plans that support nursing goal attainment
- Foster patient, physician, and employee satisfaction
- Work collaboratively across hospital departments to operationalize nursing integration and service line development
- Contribute to the development and management of care delivery models that enhance patient and family satisfaction, employee engagement, and provider satisfaction
- Apply organizational nursing values and ensure compliance with nurse practice acts, regulatory standards, and professional standards
- Foster transparency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accountability
- Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and service delivery
- Optimize resource allocation to support current and potential objectives
- Manage a multidisciplinary workforce that provides clinically competent, efficient, and compassionate care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire
- Minimum 3 years of acute care experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- Knowledge of healthcare issues, trends, legal compliance, and managed care with emphasis on all components of nursing operations
