SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate for our inpatient rehabilitation setting in Bridgeton, Missouri. This position offers an excellent opportunity to begin your nursing career in a specialized rehabilitation environment while receiving comprehensive support and mentorship.
Our rehabilitation hospital provides exceptional care to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. You will work collaboratively with physicians, preceptors, and an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and support rehabilitation goals.
Clinical Setting
This is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital specializing in complex medical, physical, emotional, and vocational rehabilitation for patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing systematic assessment of patients' physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Develop and implement nursing care plans that include problem identification, nursing diagnoses, nursing orders, interventions, and discharge planning
- Interpret assessment data to establish short and long-term goals for patient care
- Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals
- Ensure medical records are complete, factual, accurate, and timely
- Work under the guidance of a preceptor during the orientation period
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Day or night shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM window)
- Every third weekend in rotation
- 10-13 week preceptorship program
Compensation and Bonuses
- Base rate: $40 per hour
- Night shift differential: $5.50 per hour
- Weekend differential: $3 per hour
- Sign-on bonus: $15,000-$20,000 with no commitment required
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Valid state RN license required at start date (applicants may apply before licensure but must be licensed before beginning work)
- BLS certification required at hire
- Flexibility to complete all preceptorship program requirements
