Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate - Oncology

Join Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the 6 Cancer Center Oncology unit, a 40-bed oncology service dedicated to providing compassionate care to cancer patients. This position is ideal for new graduates entering the nursing profession.

The 6 Cancer Center consists of two specialized services: a 20-bed Leukemia service and a 20-bed Hematology/Oncology/Allergy (HOA) service. The HOA service focuses on symptom management for cancer patients, treating side effects of cancer treatment including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pain, fevers, infections, and failure to thrive. You will provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making in patient care
• Use skilled communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment
• Contribute to the best patient experience across the continuum of care

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is an 885-bed tertiary care hospital located in Winston-Salem, NC, and part of a nationally recognized academic health system. The hospital houses the region's only children's hospital, burn center, and Level I adult and pediatric trauma centers. Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
