Registered Nurse (RN) - 7 Cancer Center East: HemOnc (GYN)

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for 7 East, a 20-bed adult oncology unit. This position is designed for new graduates entering the nursing profession. You will provide high-quality nursing care for patients recovering from oncological treatments and surgeries, with specialties in gynecology oncology, research therapies, and clinical trials.

Clinical Setting

7 East is a specialized oncology unit within an 885-bed tertiary care hospital that is part of a nationally recognized academic health system. The hospital houses the region's only children's hospital, burn center, and Level I adult and pediatric trauma centers. The campus is also home to a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and clinical centers of excellence in cardiovascular care, brain health and neurology, sports medicine and orthopedics, transplantation, and nephrology.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making in patient care
• Use skilled communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment
• Contribute to the best patient experience across the continuum of care

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
