Review the requirements the employer included for this role.
Banner Health is hiring Registered Nurses for the New Graduate RN Residency Program, a full-time, paid position designed to transition new graduates into fully competent professional nurses. You will be placed in the PCU Neuro unit (4A) in Mesa, Arizona, where you will care for patients who have suffered strokes and other neurological conditions including seizure disorders, encephalopathy, multiple sclerosis, and brain tumors. The average patient length of stay is 4 to 5 days, with many patients requiring rehabilitation or continuing care after discharge.
This New Nurse Experience (NNE) program has received the highest accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP). You will work in a collaborative learning environment with clinical mentorship from unit staff and educators, refining your nursing skills and transitioning into independent practice.
Most new nurses work three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekend and holiday rotations. Day shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; night shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. You must be willing to live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility and are expected to remain on your NNE unit for at least 12 months to complete a full and comprehensive training experience.
This is a full-time, benefitted position with a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential and 18% night shift differential when applicable. All new graduate RN positions are eligible for Banner Health's Total Rewards Compensation Package, which includes health, dental, and vision insurance (if desired), PTO and sick time accrual, and 401(k) matching. Benefits begin the first of the month following your start date.
It is recommended that you apply no earlier than 45 days prior to your graduation date. If you have completed a Banner Health Student Preceptorship or are a current Nurse Extern with Banner Health, please apply at R4386490. Please note that the email address you use to apply is where all updates and information will be sent, even after you graduate. It is recommended that you apply with a personal email rather than a school email address.
