Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate, Neuro IMC, Rotating

This Clinical Nurse I position is designed for new graduate registered nurses or nurses with less than 12 months of clinical experience. You will work in the Neuro Intermediate Care unit on a rotating schedule at University of Maryland Medical Center, a Magnet-designated academic medical center located in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards.

As a Clinical Nurse I, you will provide direct patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members. You are expected to successfully complete the organization's Nurse Residency Program and departmental orientation, and achieve practice readiness defined as the ability to assess and manage each patient's diverse clinical needs while demonstrating the confidence and competence to safely perform and coordinate the interventions needed to provide equitable, comprehensive patient-centered care. You will remain accountable for professional practice in alignment with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or eligibility to practice through Compact state agreements outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher), or eligibility to sit for the NCLEX. Must pass the NCLEX within 90 days of hire.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required at hire. Red Cross BLS is accepted for new hires only.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required for nurses caring for adult critical care patients. This must be obtained within 6 months of hire or by completion of unit orientation, whichever is longer.
