Join Unit A, a 45-bed Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – Lexington Medical Center, as a Registered Nurse. This position offers an excellent opportunity for new graduate nurses to launch their nursing career in a collaborative, supportive environment focused on patient safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care. You will provide comprehensive patient care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical needs, including those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Clinical Setting
Lexington Medical Center is a 94-bed hospital part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health, located in Lexington, NC. The facility provides advanced services in orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, stroke, and cancer care, supported by the resources of a nationally recognized academic medical center. Unit A specializes in medical-surgical and telemetry care with advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
- Use skilled communication and compassionate care delivery to optimize patient experience
- Lead efforts to maintain safety and quality across the continuum of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advocate for patient needs
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Less than 1 year of RN experience (new graduate position)
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 36 hours per week
- Days and nights rotation
Compensation and Benefits
- Base compensation: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training
