Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical ICU, a 32-bed adult critical care unit in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This is a full-time position working nights from 7 pm to 7 am, 36 hours per week.
Clinical Setting
The Medical ICU consists of one 24-bed unit with nursing stations between each 2-patient assignment and one 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms. The unit provides care to critically ill patients with complex illnesses affecting multiple body systems, including pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, and sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
- Use skilled communication and compassionate care delivery to optimize patient experience
- Lead efforts to maintain safe clinical practices across the continuum of care
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
Schedule
- Night shift: 7 pm to 7 am
- 36 hours per week
- Full-time position
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $38.20 to $57.30 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training
