High Point Medical Center's Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages. Our 34-bed acute care unit, along with 6 Super Track beds and 4 Behavioral Health beds, serves as a designated stroke center with advanced cardiovascular capabilities including interventional cardiology services.
As an RN in our Emergency Department, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. You will deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, using evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
Clinical Setting
Our Emergency Department provides advanced stroke and heart services within a community-oriented environment. As a designated stroke center, most stroke cases are managed on-site. Myocardial infarctions are treated through our interventional cardiology services, providing specialized care without the need for transfer. The department combines personalized care with the advanced capabilities of a larger hospital system.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making in patient care delivery
- Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Less than 1 year of RN experience (new graduate position)
Schedule
- Full-time position, 36 hours per week
- Days, evenings, or night shifts
- Specific schedule to be determined during orientation
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour
- Base compensation determined by qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training
