Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - St. Vincent Medical Center

Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a Level III neonatal intensive care setting. You will deliver direct patient care to critically ill newborns and their families using the nursing process, while directing and guiding the activities of other nursing personnel. This position is part of a regional tertiary care facility serving a 150-mile radius of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, and operates in partnership with Nationwide Children's Hospital of Columbus.

Clinical Setting

St. Vincent Medical Center is a faith-based Catholic healthcare facility and a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. The facility is also designated as a STEMI Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center verified by the Joint Commission.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and teaching through the nursing process
• Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and established organizational policies and procedures
• Assist in the provision of care to patients of all age groups
• Perform other job-related duties as required by your supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program
• Current Ohio RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Other certifications as required by department policy
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of the nursing process
• Good oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior nursing experience

Schedule

• 36 scheduled hours per week
• Night shift (United States of America)
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required per department policy
