The opportunity

Job Description

Mercy Health St. Vincent is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric ICU on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This is a union contingent position in the Neonatal/Pediatric ICU, where you will deliver patient care and education through the nursing process, direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel, and maintain professional nursing standards and organizational policies.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the NCH Pediatric ICU at St. Vincent Medical Center, providing care to pediatric patients of all age groups in an intensive care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care and patient education through the nursing process
  • Direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice
  • Adhere to established organizational policies and procedures
  • Assist in the provision of care to patients of all age groups

Schedule

  • Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
  • Minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week schedule
  • 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) per schedule period
  • 1 Winter and 1 Summer holiday per calendar year
  • 12 hours of on-call per schedule period
  • Hours per pay period are contingent based on assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Current Ohio RN licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university
  • Other certifications as required by department policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) experience
