Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatrics ICU. This is a critical care nursing position serving pediatric patients in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and regional tertiary care facility. You will deliver direct patient care, provide patient education, and guide the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards and organizational policies.

Clinical Setting

St. Vincent Medical Center is a faith-based Catholic healthcare facility serving a 150-mile radius of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The facility is verified as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, designated as a STEMI Center, and verified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. The medical center has partnered with Nationwide Children's Hospital of Columbus to establish Nationwide Children's Hospital of Toledo on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care and teaching through the nursing process
  • Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice
  • Follow established organizational policies and procedures
  • Assist in the provision of care to patients of all age groups

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university
  • Current Ohio RN licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Other certifications as required by department policy
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of the nursing process
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior nursing experience

Schedule

  • Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required per department policy
