Registered Nurse (RN) M/S 4A/2B (FT 7A-7P)

This full-time position is a Registered Nurse role on the Medical/Surgical unit (4A/2B) at Virtua in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. You will work 12-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, providing comprehensive patient care on a medical-surgical unit. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice and outcome identification.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and treatment regimens
• Manage rapidly changing clinical situations effectively
• Participate in clinical decision-making with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues
• Delegate and monitor care provided by other nursing department and healthcare team members
• Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in daily practice
• Participate in orientation, education, and professional development of healthcare team members
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities
• Maintain professional and departmental competencies through ongoing education and current practice standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey RN license (must be presented and maintained in accordance with State of New Jersey Licensing Board requirements)
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to coordinate efforts of a care team
• Commitment to staying current with nursing practice through ongoing education, professional journals, and continuing development

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 36 standard hours per week
• 12-hour day shifts (7 AM to 7 PM)

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $44.57 to $60.44 (based on experience, internal equity, and market alignment)
