Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg - Tele Unit - Fairfield Hospital

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg Telemetry Unit at Fairfield Hospital. This position provides direct nursing care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses in an acute care hospital setting. You will work 30 hours per week on evening and night shifts, collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and condition using strong organizational and leadership skills
• Collect vital signs and administer IV medications
• Implement clinical nursing interventions for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses
• Develop, evaluate, update, and revise individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice standards and Mercy Health policies
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• One year of RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Six months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained from an approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support is acceptable in lieu of BLS)

Schedule

• 30 hours per week
• Evening and night shifts
