Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit (12 Center), a 34-bed medical telemetry unit. This is a 0.9-FTE night shift position offering full-time benefits eligibility.
Clinical Setting
12 Center is a medical telemetry unit serving adults with conditions including pneumonia, COPD, asthma, congestive heart failure, and tracheostomies. The unit includes two negative pressure isolation rooms and dialysis capability for up to four patients. You will provide medical-surgical nursing care for general medical and medical telemetry patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
- Lead efforts to enhance patient experience across the continuum of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $38.20 to $57.30 per hour
- Base compensation determined by qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training
