St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical unit at the Edgewood, Kentucky location. This full-time position offers day shift hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, working 36 hours weekly.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established ethical and cultural codes and standards of nursing practice
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes
- Delegate tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all encounters with patients, families, visitors, and employees regardless of cultural background
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed
- Meet contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies
- Competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration
- Ability to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures
- Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area
- Ability to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations
