REGISTERED NURSE / RN/ MED-SURG

Upper Valley Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for One Central Med/Surg, a medical-surgical unit providing care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will partner with patients, families, and significant others to deliver physical, emotional, and spiritual support in a safe environment. You will function as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and advocate, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for your assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the medical-surgical department scope of service
• Partner with and advocate for patients, families, and significant others
• Utilize the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles
• Collaborate with and guide care delivered by the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards
• Demonstrate professionalism and promote excellence and autonomy in nursing practice

Schedule

• 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 72 hours per pay period

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid Ohio RN license
• Current CPR certification at the time of hire
• Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong organization skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous hospital experience
