Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – PRN Day Shift

Freedom Detox, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join the PRN day shift team in Gastonia, NC. This role provides nursing care and support to individuals beginning their recovery journey from substance use disorders. You will help stabilize clients through the detoxification process while delivering compassionate care in a structured behavioral health environment.

Clinical Setting

Freedom Detox is a behavioral health facility specializing in addiction treatment and detoxification services. You will work with clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation from substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to clients throughout the detoxification process
• Complete nursing assessments for new admissions and ongoing client needs
• Administer medications and support withdrawal management protocols
• Perform and document COWS and CIWA assessments according to established protocols
• Monitor client health status and communicate changes to medical providers and clinical leadership
• Provide medication education and support clients in understanding their treatment plans
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure coordinated, quality care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure medical equipment and supplies are maintained and available
• Follow all regulatory requirements, policies, and safety procedures
• Complete required trainings and maintain compliance standards
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

For Registered Nurses (RN):

• Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification

For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN):

• Current, active, and unencumbered LPN license in North Carolina
• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification

Preferred Qualifications

For Registered Nurses (RN):

• Behavioral health, detox, addiction treatment, or psychiatric nursing experience

For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN):

• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox, or residential settings

Schedule and Compensation

• PRN (as-needed) day shift position
• Pay: $35–$39 per hour
