Registered Nurse (RN) L&D (PT 7P)

Virtua is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week on the night shift (12-hour shifts). L&D, maternal-child health, and obstetric experience is required.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the Labor & Delivery department, providing care to patients throughout the childbirth process and postpartum period. You will be an integral member of the healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, midwives, and other clinical staff to deliver comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and treatment regimens
• Manage rapidly changing clinical situations effectively
• Participate in clinical decision-making with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families regarding the labor process, individual care needs, wellness, and safety
• Delegate and monitor care provided by other nursing and healthcare team members
• Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in all practice
• Participate in orientation, education, and professional development of healthcare team members
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities
• Maintain professional and departmental competencies through ongoing education and current practice standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey RN license (must be presented and maintained in accordance with New Jersey Licensing Board requirements)
• L&D, maternal-child health, or obstetric nursing experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to coordinate efforts of a care team
• Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards
• Commitment to maintaining current nursing practice through ongoing education

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 hours per week
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Location: Voorhees Township, New Jersey

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $44.57 - $60.44 (based on experience, internal equity, and market alignment)
