Registered Nurse (RN) L&D (FT 7P)

Virtua is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in Voorhees Township, New Jersey. This full-time position works the night shift on a 12-hour schedule and requires L&D/MCH/OB experience.

You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will coordinate patient care and communicate and collaborate extensively with other members of the healthcare team, patients, and patients' families or significant others.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimens
• Effectively manage rapidly changing clinical situations
• Participate in clinical decision-making
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team
• Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice
• Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities
• Maintain professional and departmental level competencies

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey RN license (must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board)
• L&D/MCH/OB experience
• Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers
• Commitment to ongoing education and staying abreast of current nursing practice

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Night shift, 12-hour schedule
• 36 standard hours per week

• Hourly rate: $44.57 - $60.44 (varies based on experience, internal equity, and market alignment)
