Wellstar is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Kennesaw Med Center Primary Care clinic. In this role, you will provide direct patient care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe care. You will practice within a clinical environment guided by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, evidence-based practice standards, and the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and critical thinking to ensure individualized care
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care adapted to population-specific characteristics including age, gender, disease, and cultural diversity
- Partner with patients and significant others through appropriate communication methods such as bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
- Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care using diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and promoting a respectful, inclusive clinical environment
- Participate in and support performance improvement activities, research utilization, and the Clinical Champion Forum
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required mandatory education
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and healthcare team members
- Promote evidence-based practice and nursing research through participation in data collection and consultation with appropriate experts
- Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum and participate in protocol and procedure development
- Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources
- Comply with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
Clinical Setting
This position is based in a primary care clinic setting administered by Nurse Supervisors and Office Managers, supported through the WellStar Clinical Champion Forum.

Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Georgia (single state or multi-state compact)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, required prior to hire date
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology to support clinical care
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with excellent customer service abilities
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills with strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
Education
- Associate degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Registered Nurse Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support Instructor
- ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas
