Registered Nurse RN IV Infusion Therapy PRN

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan is seeking a Registered Nurse RN IV for Infusion Therapy on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This role is based at our 370-bed hospital in downtown San Antonio, which houses the largest emergency room in the area and is recognized for excellence in patient care, safety, and quality.

As a Registered Nurse in this position, you will deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and technical expertise. You will work independently and collaboratively with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
• Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism through active engagement in unit and organizational activities
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team
• Maintain accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan is a 370-bed facility in downtown San Antonio. The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center, and earned a Gold Seal of Approval for Sepsis Certification.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate's, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program
• Minimum of six months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN license within 60 days of hire date)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
