Join Wilson Medical Center's 18-bed Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN schedule. This newly opened, spacious and bright unit provides critical care to patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions, including mechanical ventilation, continuous BiPAP, vasopressor drips, DKA management on insulin drips, and alcohol withdrawal protocols. You will work in a collaborative environment with an approachable physician team and a 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for a mix of critical and intermediate care patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on patient condition
- Provide age-appropriate care tailored to each patient's clinical status
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the medical record
- Develop, complete, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
- Perform quality improvement assessments
Required Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
