Registered Nurse (RN), Home Health Care - Full Time

Virtua Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in their homes across Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. As a Home Health RN, you will deliver hands-on clinical care, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, coordinate treatment plans with physicians, and educate patients and families on disease management and self-care. You will work as part of a care team assigned to designated geographical territories and supervise Home Health Aides in the home setting.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 40 standard hours per week
• 1st shift
• Location: Marlton, New Jersey

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments incorporating psychosocial and physiological status, health behaviors, compliance with therapeutic regimens, and technical procedures
• Coordinate treatment plans with physicians through timely and appropriate communication
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of established documentation standards, point-of-service devices, and completion timeframes
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, medications, and safety issues
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to establish plans of care
• Supervise Home Health Aides in the home
• Maintain standard precautions and patient safety principles
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities
• Maintain professional and departmental level competencies

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey RN license (must be presented and maintained in accordance with New Jersey Licensing Board requirements)
• One to two years of recent work experience in a hospital setting (medical/surgical, emergency department, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, medical intensive care unit, critical care unit, or other specialty units) OR one year of recent community health experience
• Broad knowledge of nursing practice and ability to apply specific skills in the home health setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior home health experience
• Baccalaureate degree

• Hourly rate: $44.57 - $60.44 (actual salary varies based on applicant experience, internal equity, and market data alignment)
