REGISTERED NURSE (RN) FT NIGHTS

AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for night shifts. This role provides direct and indirect patient care in a specialized setting that manages complex medical needs with a high staff-to-patient ratio.

Clinical Setting

AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is located on the 4th floor of Park Place Surgical Hospital in South Lafayette. The facility specializes in the management of complex medical conditions commonly treated in LTAC settings.

Patient Population and Clinical Focus

You will care for patients with complex medical conditions including:

• Respiratory failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula
• Patients requiring sedation and pain management, pressor management, and cardiac or anti-arrhythmic management
• Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics
• Chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting
• Communicate with physicians and co-workers about changes in patient clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license (unencumbered)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• ICU, critical care, or LTAC experience (required to qualify for the sign-on bonus)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (required to qualify for the sign-on bonus)

Schedule and Shift

• Full-Time position
• Night shifts
• Shift differentials are paid for all night and weekend shifts

Compensation and Bonuses

• Market-competitive pay rates
• Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time RNs with ICU/LTAC experience and minimum 2 years of experience, or tuition reimbursement as per an Employment Assistance Agreement with a 2-year minimum commitment
