Registered Nurse (RN) - Float / Swat - Full Time

Essentia Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Float Pool serving the Medical-Surgical unit at the 32nd Avenue Building. As a Float Pool RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple units, bringing flexibility and expertise to support patient care needs throughout the hospital.

You will be responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. You will contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health and comply with Joint Commission requirements and other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Clinical Setting

This position is based at the 32nd Avenue Building and serves the Medical-Surgical Float Pool, providing nursing care across multiple units as needed.

Schedule

• Employment type: Full-time (0.9 FTE)
• Shift rotation: Day/Night rotation
• Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday coverage: Yes
• Call obligation: No

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school or college of nursing
• Current RN nursing licensure in the state of North Dakota
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within one month of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire

Compensation and Incentives

• Compensation range: $38.22 to $57.33 per hour
• RN Hiring Incentive: Eligible candidates may receive up to $7,500 (ADN) or up to $10,000 (BSN)
• Float Pool Premium Incentive pay provided on top of base wage
