Glen Haven Health & Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the evening shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) in Northport, Alabama. This is an opportunity to provide direct nursing care in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care setting under new leadership focused on teamwork and quality care.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care facility serving residents who require post-acute care and geriatric nursing support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in the skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting
  • Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions and changes in health status
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders
  • Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and provide sound clinical judgment
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized resident care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic nursing documentation
  • Supervise, mentor, and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs and changes in condition
  • Promote resident safety, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide clinical leadership while working collaboratively with the nursing team
  • Dependable and committed to exceptional resident care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing experience
  • New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Evening shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
  • Evening shift differentials available

Compensation and Benefits
