Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will work in the Inova Virts Miller Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a full-service emergency department for adults and a Joint Commission-certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. This position supports a high-acuity trauma program at Loudoun County's only designated trauma center.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Mid shift: 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
  • Weekend and call rotation required

Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination
  • Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner
  • Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
  • Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery
  • Coordinate with the interdisciplinary healthcare delivery team

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to complete BSN within 5 years of start date
  • Active RN license or eligibility to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider (required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and caring demeanor toward others
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of Emergency Department RN experience
