Registered Nurse (RN) Educator / Infection Control (Full-time)

Excel at Woodbury for Rehab and Nursing is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator and Infection Control specialist for a full-time position. This role combines staff education and infection control leadership within a skilled nursing facility setting, requiring an organized, detail-oriented professional with nursing re-education expertise and the ability to supervise clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy in documentation and information provided to physicians, residents, and their responsible parties
• Conduct facility rounds
• Provide patient, family, and staff education regarding support services and therapies
• Serve as a resource person for physicians and clinical staff
• Schedule and conduct facility in-services in conjunction with Department of Health guidelines and clinical needs
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision
• Participate in the organization's performance improvement plan

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Flexible and dependable
• Capable of meeting deadlines
• Able to work independently and efficiently
• MDS knowledge
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records

Schedule

• Monday through Friday with some weekend shifts
• Flexible hours required
