Registered Nurse (RN) ED (PT 7p)

Virtua Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a part-time basis. This is a night shift position working 12-hour shifts for 24 hours per week in Mount Holly, New Jersey. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will coordinate patient care and communicate and collaborate extensively with other members of the healthcare team, patients, and their families or significant others.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, leading to development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and treatment regimens
• Effectively manage rapidly changing clinical situations
• Participate in clinical decision-making
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team
• Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in daily practice
• Participate in orientation, education, and development of healthcare team members
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities
• Maintain professional and departmental level competencies

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey RN license (must be presented and maintained in accordance with New Jersey licensing board requirements)
• Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers
• Commitment to staying current with nursing practice through ongoing education and professional development

• Hourly rate: $46.31 - $64.17 (based on experience, internal equity, and market alignment)
