Eastern Montana Veteran's Home is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the long-term care unit at our skilled nursing facility. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, perform clinical assessments, administer medications and treatments, and supervise nursing personnel while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident outcomes.

Clinical Setting

This position is located in Glendive, Montana at a skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term care for veterans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse care for residents
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of residents and evaluate changes in condition to ensure appropriate interventions and care planning
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards
  • Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted by state practice), tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other complex nursing procedures
  • Supervise, delegate, and provide clinical guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel in accordance with state nurse practice acts
  • Ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and updated based on resident assessments and interdisciplinary team input
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective resident care
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, assessments, and clinical records in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by Montana
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
