Select Specialty Hospital - North Knoxville is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment during some of the most vulnerable moments of patients' lives.
Clinical Setting
This position serves patients in a specialized recovery hospital environment focused on post-ICU care and rehabilitation for critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the physician and your preceptor, assure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population
- Initiate ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and families
- Interpret assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan containing problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short and long-term goals, and discharge planning
- Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals
- Assure that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and timely
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 12-hour night shifts
- Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing
- Valid State RN License required at start date (applicants may apply before being licensed)
- BLS certification required at hire
New Graduate Support
This position is designed for December 2026 new graduates and includes an extensive 10 to 13-week structured new graduate orientation program with a dedicated preceptor.
