Registered Nurse (RN), Day Shift, Operating Room

White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room day shift. In this role, you will provide direct patient care in the OR setting while supporting the clinical team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based surgical nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care
• Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and support best practices in patient care
• Develop individualized plans of care according to patient population
• Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties appropriately
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence-based practice changes
• Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify organizational values

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Passing score on NCLEX
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as required by specialty area

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Day shift with non-rotating hours
• On-call duties required
• Shift differential eligible

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $37.00 to $55.00 per hour
