Registered Nurse (RN) / Cath Lab

Northwest Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab on a 13-week travel contract. This role involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced interventional cardiology setting, including circulating, monitoring, and supporting high-risk cardiac procedures such as STEMI interventions and advanced cardiac support device management.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, supporting patients undergoing coronary interventions and advanced cardiac procedures. The role may require floating to Northwest Houghton (2200 S. Houghton Rd, Tucson) based on unit needs.

Schedule

• Day shift: 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call requirements: 5 to 9 days per month with a 30-minute response time to the hospital for STEMI calls
• Minimum one weekend per month on-call, may increase based on unit needs
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Projected start date: June 15, 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and monitoring support in the cardiac catheterization lab
• Support STEMI interventions and high-risk cardiac procedures
• Manage and monitor advanced cardiac support equipment including Impella, IABP, and Aortic devices
• Maintain a patient ratio of 3:1
• Respond to on-call STEMI activations within 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (may consider less experience)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Experience with circulating and monitoring in the cardiac catheterization lab
• Familiarity with STEMI procedures and high-risk equipment (Impella, IABP, Aortic devices)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electrophysiology
