Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiothoracic Operating Room

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiothoracic Operating Room. In this role, you will provide comprehensive perioperative patient care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures. You will prepare the operating room, handle surgical equipment, and collaborate with the surgical team across multiple specialty areas including Robotics, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Transplant, Neurology, Thoracic, Trauma, Cardiac, Vascular, ENT/Head and Neck, GYN, Urology, and Bariatrics.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and circulate in a variety of OR specialty areas using the latest technology in state-of-the-art surgical suites
• Participate in complex surgeries as an integral member of the perioperative team
• Serve as an advocate for patients undergoing anesthesia and/or sedation
• Work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary care team to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the perioperative setting
• Participate in shared clinical decision-making
• Adhere to the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and professional ethics

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Prior operating room experience or completion of a perioperative 101 course

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 37.5-hour working week
• Three 12.5-hour day shifts

Compensation

• $47.85 - $76.26 per hour
• Compensation offered to the selected candidate will depend on educational background, skills, and professional experience
