Registered Nurse RN Cardiopulmonary Stepdown PRN

Chippenham Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (Cardiopulmonary Stepdown) on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients in the stepdown setting. You will work collaboratively with medical providers to deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while serving as an advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
• Perform procedures and functions as ordered by the medical provider
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
• Maintain current knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN license in Virginia or a multistate compact license
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Compensation

• Hourly wage estimate: $32.14 - $48.20 per hour
• Actual salary may vary based on specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role
