Job Description

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Branch Director for Home Health. In this leadership role, you will supervise the provision of clinical and non-clinical services, manage clinical operations, coordinate personnel, and oversee office operations for a home-based care provider.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
  • Current RN license in the state of practice, or licensure in accordance with the board of nursing rules for nurse licensure compact
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience within the immediately previous 36 months
  • Minimum one year of home health experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines governing home care office operations
  • Basic technology skills, including operation of a mobile device
  • Valid state driver license
  • Automobile liability insurance as required by law
  • Dependable transportation in good working condition
  • Ability to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
  • Current CPR certification

State-Specific Requirements

Arizona: Minimum three years of nursing experience, including at least two years as an RN providing home health services.

Connecticut: Active RN license and one of the following: (1) Master's degree from a program approved by the National League for Nursing or American Public Health Association with minimum one year full-time clinical experience in home health or related community health program; (2) Bachelor's degree in nursing with minimum three years full-time clinical experience in nursing, including at least one year in home health or community health program; (3) RN continuously employed as supervisor of clinical services in home health in Connecticut since January 1, 1979; or (4) Diploma or Associate degree in nursing with minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past five years, including at least one year in home health or community health program, plus either ANA certification as a community health nurse or completion of at least six credits in community health nursing theory or health care management from an accredited program within two years.

Delaware: Minimum one year of home health and supervisory experience.

Illinois: Bachelor's degree in nursing with one year of nursing experience, or RN with three years of experience (two of which must be in home health or family-centered nursing in a community health program). Note: No person may hold positions of branch director and administrator simultaneously.

Maryland: Two to three years of experience or education in community nursing.
