Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Operating Room PRN

Atrium Health Huntersville Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ambulatory Operating Room on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This freestanding ambulatory surgery center in North Charlotte, Huntersville, North Carolina provides outpatient surgical care in a private, comfortable setting with four state-of-the-art operating suites and fully equipped pre- and post-operative care areas.

Clinical Setting

The surgery center specializes in a wide range of outpatient procedures including ear, nose and throat surgeries (tonsillectomies, pediatric ear tube placement, inner ear reconstruction); orthopedic procedures (knee arthroscopies, fracture repairs, shoulder reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, foot and ankle surgeries, ACL reconstruction); eye procedures (plastic, reconstructive, and cataract surgeries); hernia repairs and gallbladder removals; breast biopsies; gynecology surgeries; plastic surgery (breast reconstruction, reduction, and augmentation); and urology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment
• Communicate effectively and lead efforts to optimize patient experience across the continuum of care

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous operating room experience

Schedule

• PRN (as-needed) variable weekdays
• Part-time status
• Not benefits-eligible

Compensation

• Pay range: $35.50 - $53.25 per hour
• Base compensation determined by qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training
• Premium pay available for shift, on-call, and other job-specific factors
• Opportunity for annual increases based on performance
