St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Adult Emergency Department. This part-time position offers 24 scheduled hours per week working two 12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM. You will deliver exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting, ranging from short-stay to trauma cases.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient status and determine the priority of patient problems and needs
- Develop and implement clinical nursing interventions and patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best individual patient and population outcomes
- Serve as a point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
- Administer medications safely and consistently with state practice standards and organizational policies
- Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- One year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support certification (must obtain prior to direct patient care)
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (required within 6 months of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
- ACLS and PALS certifications at time of hire
- EPIC Electronic Health Record training
