Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Emergency Department - St. Mary's Hospital

St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Adult Emergency Department. This part-time position offers 24 scheduled hours per week working two 12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM. You will deliver exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting, ranging from short-stay to trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and determine the priority of patient problems and needs
• Develop and implement clinical nursing interventions and patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best individual patient and population outcomes
• Serve as a point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Administer medications safely and consistently with state practice standards and organizational policies
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• One year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (must obtain prior to direct patient care)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (required within 6 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
• ACLS and PALS certifications at time of hire
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training
