Job Description

Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Dialysis unit. In this role, you will deliver patient care and education through the nursing process, direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel, and maintain professional nursing standards and organizational policies. You will assist in providing care to patients of all age groups in a regional tertiary care facility serving a 150-mile radius of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Clinical Setting

St. Vincent Medical Center is a faith-based Catholic healthcare facility and a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. The facility is designated as a STEMI Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center verified by the Joint Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care and teaching through the nursing process
  • Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing and established organizational policies and procedures
  • Assist in providing care to patients of all age groups
  • Perform other job-related duties as required by your supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation

Schedule

  • Shift: Days
  • Scheduled weekly hours: 36
  • Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required per department policy

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university
  • Current Ohio RN licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Other certifications required per department policy
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of the nursing process
  • Must meet criteria established for the specialty unit
