Registered Nurse (RN)

Absolute Healthcare Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care team providing home health services in the Fairfax, Virginia area and surrounding counties. This is a PRN/contractor position focused on delivering one-on-one patient care in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one nursing visits
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of home health patients
• Assess patients' conditions and chart observations, including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medications as prescribed by the patient's physician
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures
• Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient's quality of life
• Provide effective communication with patients, families, team members, and other healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's School of Nursing, or vocational nursing program
• Current state license as an RN
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
• Excellent communication skills
