ProHealth Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 5Medical unit, a 53-bed medical unit serving a diverse patient population in Southeastern Wisconsin. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position at 0.9 FTE.
Clinical Setting
5Medical serves patients with respiratory diseases, infectious processes, complications of chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, diabetes, alcohol and opiate withdrawal, and patients requiring medical evaluation before transitioning to other care environments. The unit maintains a collaborative, patient-focused work culture with active staff-led shared governance, outcome-focused teams addressing falls and skin integrity, and a fully engaged interdisciplinary team.
Schedule
This weekend program position requires commitment to 2 twelve-hour weekend day shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) and 1 twelve-hour day shift Monday through Friday (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM).
Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in patient and family care using a systematic approach. Your responsibilities include:
- Provide direct patient care guided by increasing awareness of patient response patterns
- Manage telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, ventilators, tracheostomies, and various tubes and drains
- Demonstrate mastery of technical skills with a patient and family-centered focus
- Supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities
- Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Support the unit's commitment to continuous improvement in patient care
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
- Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

5Medical provides a thoughtful, structured, and effective orientation for new nurses, whether recently graduated or experienced. The unit supports more nursing students and programs than any other unit in Waukesha County and is committed to meeting the needs of its staff.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting wage: $35.00 per hour. Full-time benefits are included.
