Join our Obstetrics Unit as a Registered Nurse providing comprehensive care to adolescent and adult females, neonates, and medical/surgical patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation while collaborating with the interdisciplinary health care team and maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shifts
  • Weekend and holiday requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for obstetric patients
  • Provide direct patient care to adolescent and adult females, neonates, and medical/surgical patients
  • Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and health care team members
  • Coordinate care with other members of the interdisciplinary health care team
  • Maintain high standards of professional nursing practice

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing (ADN)
  • Valid RN licensure with the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON)
  • Labor and delivery and newborn care experience
  • Hospital-based nursing or health care experience within the last five years preferred
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring certification within 1 year from hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 1 year of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year from hire
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within the second year of hire
  • STABLE certification must be completed at the first class offering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or another related field
  • IBCIC certification (must be obtained within 1 year of hire)
